Bagels and Bread

I baked bagels last night. The first thing I did when I got home from work was get the dough kneaded and rising while I made dinner. I needed mini bagels for the "Afternoon Tea" I was preparing today. Bagels only take about three hours from start to finish,so they are easy to bake in the evening.

And, this morning, I baked four loaves of French bread. The freezer was empty of homemade bread and on my days off I like to get a few loaves in to the freezer. I fed my sourdough starters twice in the last two days so I might bake again tomorrow.

  1. Those look so very, very good! I'll take a dozen to go, please.

  2. I have never had the nerve to make fresh bagels but I must say I feel inspired and may have to summon up the courage. :)
