Just a few of our meals this month.
August 20th
Baked Bagels again.
Last weeks did not last long. I don`t think these will either.
We had smoked salmon and cream cheese again and this time we had my favourite homemade Chicken Liver Pate with a black pepper aspic.
Jacques Pepin's recipe. Very decadent.
August 19th
Sunday Night's dinner.
Grilled Baby Back Ribs with
potatoes roasted in the CSO.
And a Caprese Salad from garden
fresh tomatoes.
August 18th
Moe's Breakfast.
Rigatoni with Italian Sausage
and Meatballs.
I took the same thing to work for lunch.
August 17th
I wasn't hungry so it was a good night to make Moe and Matt a salad.
They both love salads and I would be happy if I never ate a salad.
Mediterranean Tomato salad. I used at least 8 different varieties of tomatoes.
Red, brown, black, yellow, orange, cherry, plum, etc....
with red onion, Kalamata olives, feta cheese,
oregano, salt, pepper, toasted pistachios,
with a lemon, olive oil and garlic
August 16th
Thai Red Curry Chicken.
August 15th
Our tomatoes are starting to ripen.
August 14th
Baked bagels on the 13th and we had
Smoked Salmon and Cream cheese for breakfast.
Baked Chocolate Brownie Cookies for
Ice Cream Sandwiches.
August 9th
Roasted a small turkey before leaving for work.
And we had hot turkey sandwiches for dinner.
August 8th
Decided mid afternoon to bake a blueberry pie.
Served with whipped cream.
August 7th
August 6th
This was suppose to be "our" dinner, but really I made it for Moe.
No matter how hard I try , I just don't like scallops.
I haven't made these in a few years. But I knew Moe would really enjoy them.
Lemon Seared Scallops on Wonton Crisps. Recipe came from a fellow blogger - Mari Mirrasoul.
I also made Skewered Shrimp With Lemon Pesto. Recipe is from a Weber Grill Cookbook. I have had this recipe for years and pull it out occasionally. I should make it more often because it really is good. A great appetizer.
I got an "incredible" from Moe.

Spicy Honey Garlic Chicken.
This is one of my favourites. I make a really thin tempura style batter for the thinly sliced and marinated chicken breast.

You continue to amaze me. My husband wishes he lived next door!
