Holiday Season Post

A few pictures from our Holiday Table.

I did very little baking for Christmas and was feeling guilty.
So I baked a couple of different shortbread cookies.

One is a Chocolate chip shortbread made with brown sugar.

and the other a Cranberry and White Chocolate.

We had our traditional Tourtiere Christmas Eve.

Served with mashed potatoes, broccoli and gravy.

For breakfast on Christmas Morning
we had

a Spanish Tortilla with toasted homemade baguette.

No pictures of our Christmas dinner.
We had dinner at our neighbours home.

Clif and I shared duties.
I presalted a turkey on Tuesday and gave it to
Clif to roast.  He also did the dressing and the gravy and
I did all the sides and the dessert.

Dessert was an old favourite.
A Cassata Cake.

  1. I would have loved every one of these dishes, the tourtiere is a Christmas Eve favourite.

  2. That is some fine food. I'd never heard of tourtiere, but it looks delicious.
