A Wing Night
I spent more time in the kitchen baking yesterday than I did making dinner. Went for something easy - chicken wings. A few hours before dinner I pureed two large cloves of garlic on the microplane, added a little salt, lots of fresh coarsely ground black pepper, hot red pepper flakes, cayenne pepper and a little olive oil, and rubbed this mixture all over the wings. Roasted the wings in a 450°F oven, turning them over half way through cooking. Finished them off on a hot grill. They were so deliciously seasoned I ate mine plain without sauce. Served with Parisienne potatoes that were deep fried.

Is the ones in the baskets the potatoes? And I'm definitely trying your wing recipe!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a perfect dinner to me! Love the potatoes (I always love the look of the potatoes when you make them that way), and the wings looks tender and juicy. Yum!
ReplyDeleteGrowing up ..chicken wings were my most requested meal to my mom..Hers were different..baked in the oven but then coated in warmed thickened VH sauce.
ReplyDeleteOut of everything I ever tasted all my life..
This wins hands down.:)
Chicken wings are what memories can be made of.
