I started Thibeault's Table 10 years ago.
January 2009.
My first post was a few days into the New Year.
I thought I would share what we have been eating
so far in January 2019

First Week of January
We started the New Year off with
a Quiche for breakfast.
Not something I make very often. Maybe once every 10 years.
This one had an all butter crust with bacon, mushroom and spinach and white cheddar cheese.
Served with a small side salad.
Later in the day I baked
four baguettes from dough that
I had hand-mixed the day before.
We were having dinner at our neighbours
so I made Moe just a little snack to hold him
until dinner.

became breakfast.
A small Sterling Silver Top Sirloin.
The Yorkshire pudding batter was mixed up 20 minutes before it went into the oven
Just eggs, flour, milk and salt. .
And I had to open the door after five minutes
because it was rising so high it was hitting the top burners in the CSO.
So I opened the door just long enough for it to slightly collapse.
Since we had the beef for breakfast,
I made Congee with Chicken for dinner.
It was a work night so I made the soup in the
Breville Pressure Cooker.
Served with homemade toasted baguette.

Simple Wings and Greek Salad for dinner.
January 5th, 2019
Another work night meal.
Grilled a small "Chateaubriand" cut and
served it with just green beans and some sauted crimini mushrooms.

A friend on Facebook, Kathy Bender-Sobol,
Decided to bake it late this afternoon.
Recipe calls for letting it cool completely, but I had a husband and a son hoping to eat cake tonight.
This cake is amazingly moist and didn't last long.

Pizza Night.
Dough was made on the 7th and left in the fridge
for 24 hours.
1000g batch at 75% hydration.
Took the dough out of the fridge around 2:30 PM
and left it to come to room temperature.
Used half in the two pizzas and the other half for a large round baked in a Dutch Oven.
I can never show my husband these photos...he wants to eat like Moe! I have to come up with a better breakfast than Cheerios and bananas!
