A Visit from Matt - A Week's Worth of Dinners

Our son, has been visiting for a week.
So I have been cooking many of his favourite meals.

Steak Fajitas

I don't particularly like flank steak
so I use New York Strip Steaks when I make fajitas.
With homemade corn tortillas.

 Chicken Souvlaki.
A family favourite.

Burgers and homemade fries one night.

And a couple of night's later

Burgers again, this time with homemade potato chips.

With a side of Pasta Aglio E Olio

Roast beef dinner

With Yorkshire Puddings.

This Potato and Caramelized Onion Galette was lunch, not dinner.

Penne with a fresh tomato sauce with olives and fresh basil.
Homemade sourdough baguette.

And I baked a couple of pies

warm  with ice cream
Hoosier Sugar Cream Pie

Topped with whipped cream and toasted coconut.

and lots of bread

Sourdough Rye.

Bagels and Baguettes.

  1. What an amazing group of recipes. I follow recipes well, but do not have the gift of making up my own so this is going to be fun and my Husband is going to love dinners next week at our house!

  8. How do you take such good pictures? I only my phone (s5) which should be good enough but the pictures of food always turn out hideous!

    1. All my photos since May have been taken using my Samsung Gallaxy S5. I traded in an iphone for the Samsung. The iphone camera was useless, but I'm really happy with the camera on the S5.
