More Beef

I was so happy with the sirloin tip that I roasted last week that I bought another.. This one was just as good as the first. Tender with a wonderful flavour. Like the other  this one was also a three pounder. I decided to roast just half and freeze the other half The roast was presalted and then just before it went in the oven I rubbed it with fresh garlic and lots of black pepper. Moe had the oven preheated to 500°F for me so I could get the roast in the oven as soon as I got home from work. Dinner was ready in less than an hour. I think the roast only took about 35 minutes to reach an internal temperature of 118°F. I put a small whole squash in the oven at the same time.

It took longer to cook than the roast. Sides were simple. Mashed potatoes, gravy, squash and green beans.

And even more Beef. The leftover beef became Moe's breakfast. Roast Beef, gravy and scrambled eggs. One of his favourites.

  2. I come here and stare at your fabulous food pictures and leave starving. I actually ate beef twice last week and I usually don't eat it for weeks on end. Ole Sweetie-Pi was thrilled to see a big thick juicy piece coming his way!
