Fish and Chips
Saturday night's dinner - Fresh Petrale Sole breaded with fresh bread crumbs seasoned with parmesan cheese and lemon zest. To add a little more flavour I also grated a garlic clove on a microplane and mixed the paste in with the egg dip.
Served with oven roasted potato wedges and a sauce made with Hellman's, sour cream, fresh dill, Dijon mustard, lemon zest and lemon juice and salt and pepper.

Ann, that looks delicious. I haven't had fish and chips in a long, long time! Now I have a craving!
ReplyDeleteAmazing, I prepared petrale sole this evening too. I used panko and served it with corn on the cob. I would much rather have had the potatoes. This is my favorite fish prepared in my favorite way. Your photo is perfect, Ann.
ReplyDeleteDinner looks wonderful! Beautiful photograph.

Un des repas préférés de Monsieur Chapot, souvenir de ses nombreux voyages, enveloppé dans du papier journal, cette recette ne peut que lui plaire
ReplyDeleteOh Ann...I always want to have dinner at your house!
ReplyDeleteJust lovely!

It has not been since I was first married 30 years go that I tried making my own fish like this. My new Sweetie-Pi does not particularly care for fish so this is not a dish that comes by mine. But I look at how beautiful your meal looks and I am inspired to try once again. If our local market ever has a nice fillet, I am definitely going to try fish again. Thank you. This looks fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI normally don't care for fish and chips, but this looks delicious, even at 7:40 in the morning.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lori. Cathy, I'd like to have the potatoes and the corn. Corn season is just about over here. Thank you Carol and Linda.
ReplyDeleteChapot, My husband loves this meal. Unfortunately for him, I'm more like Katy's husband and I'm not a big fan of fish, except for Halibut which I could eat a couple of times a week. But I don't mind Petrale Sole especially prepared this way.
Coach J. I've been reading your blog and hope things work out for you on the job front.
Ann
